On March 6, I played one of my favourite ever shows. Less than two weeks later, live music was shut down around the world.

Venues are doing it tough.

I’ve been lucky enough to play incredible venues around the world, big and small, with amazing staff who have looked after me and helped me create amazing memories doing the thing I love the most - playing live music. These venues are a second home to some music lovers, places where communities come together, where people had their first dates, finally got to see that artist they’ve loved since they were kids or connect with strangers through a shared love of live music.

I wanted to put this list of resources together to help support the venues that haven’t been able to put shows on since the pandemic hit, who have been holding it together, looking after their staff as best they can, sometimes struggling to pay rent. I want to support them the way they’ve supported me.

Some venues have GoFundMes, some are open for food/takeaway, some have subscription services or memberships and some have merchandise you can buy. It all helps, and will all help live music come back strong when it’s safe.

This list has begun as a place to put venues I’ve loved playing throughout my career, as well as places I was intending to play this year before everything went sideways.
